Guided Birding Tours in Texas

Texas is one of the richest birding destinations in North America — more than 650 species have been recorded here — and I've spent years learning where to find them and how to get you on them. Whether you're chasing life birds, building your Texas list, or simply want a guided morning with someone who knows the hotspots, I'd love to take you out.

Where we go

From the lakes and greenbelts around Austin and the Hill Country to the migrant traps of the Gulf Coast, the specialties of the Rio Grande Valley, the canyons of West Texas, and the prairies and lakes of North Texas — each trip is tailored to the birds you most want to see and the time of year you're traveling.

Who it's for

Beginners and seasoned listers alike. I handle the planning, the routes, and the spotting; you bring your binoculars and your curiosity. New to birding? Even better — there's nothing like helping someone find their first Painted Bunting or Vermilion Flycatcher.

What to expect

  • A guide who knows the seasons, the hotspots, and the calls
  • Trips tuned to your target species and skill level
  • The best timing and light for both watching and photography
