Texas Bird & Wildlife Photography Prints

Every photograph on this site is available as a fine art print — from the Golden-cheeked Warblers and Painted Buntings of the Hill Country to Rio Grande Valley specialties like the Green Jay and Altamira Oriole, Gulf Coast shorebirds, West Texas hummingbirds, and rarities you simply won't find in a stock catalog. Each image was photographed in the wild by me, Bryan Cotter, an Austin-based bird photographer, and printed from the full-resolution original — not the web version you see here.

Bird photography prints, shot in Texas

With more than 390 species photographed across Texas — and over 500 species seen statewide — this is one of the largest single-photographer collections of Texas bird photography available anywhere. If you're looking for wall art of a specific bird — a Northern Cardinal for the kitchen, a Great Horned Owl for the office, a Roseate Spoonbill for the beach house — chances are it's already in the galleries. Wildlife beyond birds, too: butterflies and dragonflies, Texas landscapes, even a Big Bend black bear.

How ordering works

  • Pick your photo. Browse the photo galleries or the species directory and note the bird and photo you'd like.
  • Contact me. Send the species name (and which photo, if there are several) through the contact page.
  • Choose a size. See the full sizes & prices — lustre paper from $45, canvas from $175, metal from $225 — and tell me which you'd like. I'll confirm and get it into production.

Prints are made from the original full-resolution files, color-managed and inspected before they ship. Signed prints are available on request.

Why buy from the photographer?

When you buy a print here, it comes straight from the person who was standing in the marsh at sunrise. You get the story with the picture — where it was taken, what the bird was doing — and you're supporting the fieldwork that produces the next photograph. These are real Texas birds in real Texas places, not composites or AI images.

Gift ideas for birders

A print of someone's favorite backyard bird — or their hardest-won lifer — makes a genuinely personal gift for the birder, nature lover, or Texan in your life. If you're not sure which species to pick, tell me a little about them on the contact page and I'll suggest a few favorites.
