Description

Often called the most beautiful bird in North America, the male a patchwork of blue head, red underparts, and green back that hardly looks real. It summers across much of Texas in brushy edges, where the male sings from a hidden perch far more often than he shows himself.

These were foraging along the creek and just as happy as can be with several other species after an early morning rain.
