About the Caspian Tern
The largest tern in the world, gull-sized and heavy-winged, carrying a massive blood-red bill that makes it unmistakable. It patrols Texas bays and big lakes with slow, powerful wingbeats, then folds up and hits the water hard when it finds a fish.
