Description

A small, restless songbird of Central Texas scrubland, the male striking with a black hood broken by bold white spectacles. Once federally endangered, it nests low in brushy oak thickets and can be tough to see as it forages actively in dense cover.

Found this guy on the other side of the main group of trees near the parking lot and out in the field before the creek. He was popping on the tops of all the trees here.
