Description

Texas's only bird that nests nowhere else on Earth. It depends on the mature cedar and oak canyons of the Hill Country, weaving strips of peeling juniper bark into its nest. Its golden face and buzzy song are the reward for an early spring morning in the right canyon.

Found this guy foraging at my brother's house in Spring Branch.<br />This is a friendly guy and it even landed on my shoulder for a half second 2 years before.
